FITNESS | SurfSet Class Review

A few weeks ago I tried a new class with my good friend Sophie. Surfiest had caught my eye after my girl Kate, a Surfset instructor in Baltimore, MD, began posting on social media. Whilst in Greece I noticed that a gym near me was starting classes just as I got back! One of the very first in the UK. After watching some promo videos I knew I HAD to try it out.

NUTRITION | Daily Diet Rundown: Clean Eating

This post is intended to help inspire you if you're looking to start to clean up your diet, or looking for new ideas. I have been a clean eating advocate for many years now and I by far feel the best in myself when I stick to a diet similar to the one I will list below.

I have been a member of the Tone It Up Nutrition Plan for almost 4 years and their emphasis is on lean, clean and green. This means lean proteins, clean in terms of avoiding processed foods and green speaks for itself - lots of veggies!! I try and stick to this philosophy as much as possible.
As you will see below, I eat 5 smaller meals a day, rather than three bigger ones. Eating with smaller intervals keeps your metabolism burning and therefore burning more calories, as well as ensuring I'm less likely to snack on unhealthy foods during the day as I'm eating more frequently.

I've got to admit, I'm a self-proclaimed morning person. Just ask my boyfriend, I'm always dragging him out of bed 95% of the time because I just cant stand to lay there and do nothing - I want to get up and moving. The tips in this post will help you get there too! Whether it's to get up earlier to work out, to get to work or if you just want to get up and get your day started.

FITNESS | My Week In Workouts

I thought it would be a good idea to share my week in workouts with you! Whilst I do switch it up often, it can easily be averaged out. I'm a member of the gym and I often work out at home too. I aim for a minimum of 4 gym sessions a week of an hour and a half or more. I'm currently trying to lose weight so this plan, along with clean eating so bear that in mind as you read!
