Hey guys! Hopefully you enjoyed my first post so much you decided to come back and read this one? I hope so anyway!
So this week (to coincide with Tone It Up's 7 day slim down) I'm really going for it! It all started yesterday morning where I set my alarm for 6.15 am and was out of the house by 6.20 to go for a jog with by dog Archie. It was raining a little but I pushed through and I'm glad I did because 'you never regret a workout!' I downloaded an app for my iPhone called 'Runtastic' and I really recommend it! It's the only one I've tried but it was really good! It gave me loads of information at the end of it and you can save runs so you can track them. It told me that yesterday I ran 3.2 km in 28 minutes and burned exactly 300 calories. As well as some other stuff that I can't remember off the top of my head! I was really pleased with that but I know I could probably do better so I'm looking forward to Friday when I'm going to try again :) However, I find it really difficult to stay running for longer than 4ish minutes. Does anyone else have this problem? I know I'm only a beginner but I find I have to start walking and I really don't want to? What are the ways to avoid this?
Then I had to do two exams at college which took up four hours of my day but I walked to and from college (up a massive steep hill that never ends!) so I felt good about doing that as it was raining still! Then in the evening I went to Zumba!! If you haven't tried Zumba - why not?! It is so much fun and the only part that feels like a workout is the warm up! I come out of it every week feeling so refreshed and energised and without telling one word of a lie I smile the whole way through! It's an amazingly good way to keep fit - it makes me not dread Monday's so much!
After Zumba I went out and met my friends for an hour or so before coming home and fitting in the Tone It Up Self Magazine workout which I loved! It felt really good but I was definitely happy to get into bed at the end of it! It had been a long day! The biggest thing I noticed about it all though was that I was so happy all day! I felt fantastic and loads of people noticed the change in my mood! Well you know what Elle Woods says; "Exercise gives you endorphins and endorphins make you happy!" Will definitely be living by that now!
Today I started my day off with the Bikini Blast and Itty Bitty bikini workout and I'm not going to lie - it killed me! Especially the tummy tucks at the end of the Itty Bitty Bikini! I loved the love handle toners though - will somehow manage to work those into my routine! For my afternoon workout I hit the gym which I looooove cause it's right next to the beach, so as I'm on the treadmill I can look out on the beach and think I'll be able to hit it this summer in my bikini! If that's inspiration I don't know what is. I was really glad I went today as I was offered a free personal training session tomorrow morning so I'll have to see if they measure up to Karena and Katrina! I hit up the treadmill, the bike and the stepper today. I LOVE the stepper! It burns so many calories so quickly - it's incredible! I think I burned 230ish in 20 minutes!
Then lastly I just wanted to quickly mention that I've just got back from giving blood it was my first time and I've wanted to do it for a while and I'm so so glad I did! It's an amazing thing to do and it really does save lives. It took half an hour out of my day and it was so worthwhile - you even get free coffee =P. It didn't really hurt except for a little pinch when the needle went in and I need to take it easy until the morning but other than that - painless!! So please please please think about it!!
Hope everyone's week is going well!
All my love
Georgia :)
