Towards the end of last year I was so set in my routine and my timetable at college I found I didn't need to plan the week's workouts ahead of time as I could just know when to slot them in. As I've only just gone back to college I'd forgotten the amount of work etc I'd get during the first week so as I hadn't planned ahead I didn't work out. Then came Tuesday! (I know! Not even that far into the week!) Tuesday was the day that I passed my driving test! Along with that came massive excitement of being able to go out on my own (or with friends) and drive and celebrate, and once again I didn't work out. I did feel guilty but I didn't let that guilt motivate me into the gym!
So this week, to avoid any more 'skipped' workouts, I've printed myself off a Workout Weekly Calendar to stay motivated and on track. You can't really see on the picture below but I've colour coded it! I have different colours for strength workouts, cardio workouts, mandatory things to do (i.e. college/work), dates and other challenges.
So for example my day today, on the calendar, in the colour system, was;
Bikini Strap Booty Call
College 11.10-4.20
Zumba
Chair Sits
I think this is a great way for me to stay on track and keep the motivation going! I believe that anything that holds you accountable is something that will keep you dedicated!
