Happy Valentines Day! Today is actually the 14th Feb but my boyfriend is working and my parents are going out so I'm cooking for my sister and I! I decided on a pasta bake because it's the perfect winter warmer! I even set out some candles to celebrate teehee!
It's really simple so I hope you try it. It's been skinny-fied so it's perfect for dieting.
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 400g chopped tomatoes (1 can)
- Your favourite herbs to season
- 2 cups wholewheat pasta
- Meat of your choice (I used one medium turkey breast per person)
- 1 slice of wholewheat bread
- Low Fat cheese to coat
Method
-Add chopped tomatoes (or if you have a ready made marinara sauce this works fine), meat and pasta to casserole dish/lasagne tray.
-Add 300ml of water. This is really important as this is what allows the pasta to cook.
-Bake on 200 c / gas mark 6 for 25 mins
-Whilst baking blend breadcrumbs and cheese (grated) together
-After 25 mins top pasta bake with cheese/breadcrumb mix and add herbs
-Bake for a further 10-15 minutes
