I'm quite lucky in the way my college schedule works as 4 out of the 5 days a week I don't need to be in for lessons until 11.10am. So what I used to do is wait until I woke up (usually around 8.30-9) hit the gym, which is a 5 minute drive to college, and workout out for around an hour with low intensity exercises.
It's safe to say I didn't really lose any weight in that period.
So then what I used to do was workout after college (I finish at 4.20 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) or whenever I could fit it in around work.
Then I realised I was being complacent. Complacency is the last thing I need to be whilst living my Tone It Up lifestyle. So after re-reading my Tone It Up plan last week I've stepped it up a gear this week.
If you're on the plan you will know there's a mini-schedule/calendar in it which sets out what exercises you should be doing and when and so far this week I've been sticking exactly to that.
And so far I have lost 2.6lbs. Yes. 2.6lbs in three days. Yes I've been working my ass off and eating so lean and clean and green but 2.6lbs is 2.6lbs and I'm more than certain that it's because I've been waking up (actually setting an alarm) to do a Booty Call.
So far this week my booty call pattern has been running on alternating days. Monday I ran, Tuesday I did a YouTube workout, today (Weds) I ran and tomorrow I'm doing a DVD. And I am loving it. I've had more energy during the day (although I do get tired earlier), I'm not as tired on my earlier starts, I'm feeling so much better about my day and you feel good because you know that whatever happens to the rest of your day, you've worked out before anything else has had the chance to get in the way.
So do it! Whatever it takes just booty call! Sleep in your workout gear if you have to! (or if you're like me workout in your pyjamas hehe) It's so worth it. Karena and Katrina swear by it. I now swear by it.
Booty Calls work.
Do your body a favour....and bootaaaay caaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllll
;)
I don't officially have the tone it up nutritional plan but I have been using some of their workout plans on youtube (I'm still deciding whether to splurge and buy it). I did a booty call this morning and I feel great it was just so hard to get up and actually make myself do it! What do you think of the nutritional plan so far? I'm a college student too :)
ReplyDeleteHey Hilary! Congrats on working out through college - its not easy is it!
DeleteI would reccomend the TIU Diet Plan beyond measure. I've lost 20lbs so far (about 12 of that is via the diet plan) and honestly the team of women you will join is the most inspiring thing. As well as this it's fun! TIU is the best - honestly hehe!
Nice. I'm not the only one working out in my pyjamas.
ReplyDeleteHAHA if I could like this I would!
