Quick and Easy Dinner Solution

I love cooking. LOOOOOVE it! I would cook for everybody on the Tone It Up team if I could! I'm blessed that I have a very short college week so I have the opportunity to experiment in the kitchen and have time to think up new recipes.

I know some people aren't that lucky! I know sometimes you get home after a long day at work and the last thing you want to do is cook.

Me in the kitchen haha - I wish!

This is where I'm here to help (no I am not offering up my cooking services - sorry!), this recipe takes less than 20 minutes and you can cook tonnes up at a time to keep for various meals throughout the week.

Asian cooking is massive in Britain and Stir-Fry's; the dish I'm giving you an insight on today, have particularly boomed as being super popular because they are so quick, so easy and HEALTHY!

Stir Fry! Whoop

If you're on the Tone It Up Diet Plan, like me, you may have this meal (or I do) for either Meal 3 or Meal 5 (if you're having it for M5 leave out the rice noodles!

When I cook a stir fry, I use a protein (normally Turkey), with lots and lots of veggies and occasionally rice noodles but more often than not I would rather use bean sprouts :)

Start off by heating up your wok (if you don't have a wok a deep pan will be more than ok) and add some non stick cooking spray.

Begin by chopping up your meat (if you're using tofu or tempeh, cook according to instructions) roughly; the beauty of a stir fry is nothing has to be perfect. Add it to the wok and stir using a wooden utensil (it doesn't really matter  what so long as it's wooden)

Use as many veggies as you like!

As soon as the meat is cooked at some low-sodium Soy Sauce for flavour.

If you are using noodles, now would be the time to add them!

You can buy pre-packaged chopped vegetables for Stir Fry's if you're really short on time but obviously if you would prefer it to be even fresher, chop up your own vegetables! I like using whatever I've got in the fridge, roughly chopping it up and shoving it in the pan and this is your next step! You can literally put anything in a stir fry. My favourites are carrots, peppers, broccoli and edamame beans.

As I like my vegetables to still be crunch I leave them right until the last minute.

You can add more Soy Sauce if you wish :)

Et voila! An Asian Inspired Stir Fry!
Sorry about the messy presentation! As long as it ends up on the plate in our house it doesn't matter hehe!
