I'd also like to congratulate two swimmers; Missy Franklin from Team USA and Ruta Meilutyte from Lithuania who both achieved something remarkable yesterday!! Missy won gold in the 100m womens backstroke final, just 15 minutes after competing in another heat! Ruta is just 15 years old and won the first ever gold for her country in the pool during the 100m Womens Breast Stroke final. Both athletes are truly inspiring and I loved watching their events.

Challenge 5!
We're back to training, athletes!! The athletics is drawing ever closer!
Following Team GB's historic Gymnastics win, I want you guys to hit the GYM (get it haha - I'm sorry - you can blame my mum!) and get in a 90 minute workout; 60 minutes of cardio (with at least 15 minutes of HIIT) and 30 minutes of toning.
You can do split sessions!
Check the machines at your gym because a lot already have pre-programmed HIIT workouts.
If not here are some of my favourites;
Treadmill: Intense Speed or Incline for 1 minute
Recovery Speed or Incline for 2 minutes
Recovery Speed or Incline for 2 minutes
Elliptical: Intense Resistance as fast as you can go for 2 minutes
Recovery for 3 minutes
Recovery for 3 minutes
Stairmill: 30 seconds at level 1 resistance, 30 seconds off; increase the level each time!
Rowing Machine: Fastest 500m you can manage! Rest for 30 seconds and go again!
Bike: Varying resistance; 20 seconds intense, 40 seconds recovery
