The Final Challenge; Congratulations Athletes

Congratulations! We've made it to the closing ceremony and I for one am really sad that it's over!

I've loved watching the Olympics and the sense of pride I feel that my country, the tiny little island, home to only 60 million that I call my home has been able to pull of such a show.

As I write this post at 10.57am Spanish time, Team GB are comfortably third in the medal table with 28 golds, 15 silvers and 18 bronze. Blowing any targets we had set out of the water. It feels crazy to me that a country so small (especially in comparison to Russia who are 4th) can achieve so much. I'm also over the moon that Team USA have come out on top, beating the Chinese who seem to put so little emotion into their performance that they seem almost robotic; which to me doesn't embody what the Olympics are about; at all.

Some of my highlights include 'Super Saturday'; last Sat the 4th of August which saw GB take home a totally unprecedented 3 Gold medals. I also loved watching one of my favourite athletes, Tom Daley, bringing home the bronze and being ecstatic to do so, in contrast to some athletes who have been so so disappointed with anything other than gold; hello! It's still an Olympic medal! The photo below shows some of my highlights :)

So the time has come and your final challenge is to share your favourite moment (or moments!) of the games. Share pictures, words, videos - anything! You know the drill by now :)

And finally I want to thank you guys for all the support and for everybody who's taken part in the Olympic Team TIU challenge. I've really enjoyed blogging every day and given me new life at Camp Beach Babe. I've loved meeting new people through the challenge and hope to continue meeting new people on this journey!

Congratulations to all the medalists; I shall post your 'medals' soon!

Love, hugs and thanks.

Georgie x
