An Open Letter to My Tone It Up Team

Hey guys! This post means a lot to me, as every post does but this one a little bit more so; so thank you so much for reading it!

I sent an email to Karena and Katrina at Tone It Up last week and wanted to share it with you guys because it was about you guys! It's personal so bear with me but I'm pretty much an open book when it comes to you all so it's nothing you haven't really heard about before - especially if you're friends with me on Facebook!

I'm just going to copy and paste the email so bear in mind that it's written to K&K!

Hey!

Hope you guys are well and loving the Love Your Body challenge as much as I am!

Karena I hope you're feeling ok after getting your teeth out! I can't say that I envy you!

I won't take up too much of your time but I had to share this with you guys, as a way of expressing my gratitude!

You guys saw on Facebook that December wasn't the greatest of months that I'd ever had! After finding out what had happened with my boyfriend and deciding to call things off after 2 and a half years, I felt so close to going back to my old life! It was almost as if I was standing on a ledge about to fall back into a world of all kinds of destructive forces! On more than one occasion the thought of deliberately skipping a meal or purging after a meal came into my head.

When I was talking to a counsellor last year for Body Dysmorphia (I think I may have even put this in my Bikini Series entry) we decided that having BDD was like being in a maze - the further you get in the harder it is to get out; it can feel lonely, frustrating and it's very very easy to get lost! When I was suffering I spoke about how it felt like ALL of my Tone It Up sisters (yourselves included hehe) were standing at different corners of the maze helping me to get out however in December, having found my way out, you were all there blocking me from getting back in and I will never be able to thank this team enough for that. On Facebook particularly, every day I was getting messages or comments from women offering their support and sharing some of their own experiences. Every single morning (without fail!) I had a message either on Skype, Facebook or Twitter, from Holli Berry, not even mentioning the boyfriend but just a little message to take my mind off of things and to keep my spirits up! I was moved to tears so many times haha it sounds so silly but its so so true!

When you released the video of the winner's trip one thing you guys said really stuck out in my mind. Tone It Up is about so much more than fitness. We're a sisterhood and I have never felt that more in the three years I have been following you guys than last month.

This Christmas I was overwhelmed with love and support from my TIU Sisters!! Every single one of these cards are from TIU members!  I don't want to take them down! The words that were written were so heartfelt and so meaningful that it just bought the sisterhood to life even more! Getting these cards really reminded me that I will always have this incredible community of inspiring women who have my back through it all. I really wasn't looking forward to Christmas, after what happened, but these cards made it so so special!

Sorry for rambling - I just had to let you guys now how you saved me (again!) this past month!

You all did so much for me that I would never be able to list everybody here but these four ladies went above and beyond what I could ever expect so THANK YOU ALL
