Georgia Loves: A Bikini A Day!

If you haven't heard of A Bikini A Day, you are in for a treat! If you're anything like me you have a love for Bikini's and EVERYTHING they represent! Sun, fun and sexiness! This is something A Bikini A Day (ABAD) personifies. Run by best friends, Tash Oakley and Devin Brugman (click their names for their respective Instagram profiles) ABAD does exactly what it does - the girls source a Bikini they think their viewers will love and post it. This is fab, but for me ABAD does so much more than this! Read below for more!

When I was growing up, especially in high school, I felt constant pressure to be skinny. I grew up at a time where Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie were seen in the media to have the ideal body. Skinny was sexy and I could not have felt any less sexy if I'd have tried! Unfortunately my mission to be skinny lead me down some dangerous paths which is why, now I'm out at the other side and have overcome those issues it makes me so happy to see that women like Tash and Devin are out there promoting curves! Also props to both for being serious businesswomen!

I know I'm never going to have a Victoria's Secret Angel body - it's just not the way I'm built! I have curves and through A Bikini A Day (amongst others) I've learnt to be proud of that! No longer is my fitspiration Nicole Richie (looking back now she was so alarmingly thin- I just couldn't see it!) but the women of ABAD who, in my opinion, are the absolute definition of healthy.

I love that the girls run weekly giveaways but also promote amazing causes (The girls have a T -Shirt line with Consurfvation and spent the whole of October promoting Breast Cancer Awareness). What's more the girls showcase bikinis to suit all body shapes and sizes and particularly those that suit the curvier girls! Shot in gorgeous locations - what's not to love?

The girls are beautiful, they love what they do and they promote healthy body image to no end and that is why I love Tash and Devin! I hope one day I can be as empowering as they are! At the end of the post I've added some of my favourite ever ABAD pics! Take a look and see what you think.

PS - meeting the girls is totally on my Study Abroad Bucket List!

You can find out more about the girls from their Twitter profiles (Tash/Devin) and their websites (Tash/Devin)

Love Always,
Georgie
